Multiscale Microscopy of Metals and Materials Lab. focuses on advanced transmission electron microscopy (TEM) based approaches to investigate structural features of materials down to the atomic scale. Our research aims to elucidate how local structural variations govern the macroscopic properties of materials. With an emphasis on metallic materials as well as a broad range of material systems, we employ advanced microscopy techniques such as 4D-STEM and three-dimensional electron tomography to achieve a comprehensive understanding of structure–property relationships.
